bummed out

How quickly things change.  This morning we found out the buyers of our house are backing out of the contract.  I'm upset since this probably means we won't end up getting the house we really want, as that contract will be terminated too.  We're also pretty frustrated because we have been bending over backwards to be accommodating and helpful as far as negotiations, extending deadlines and making repairs for these people who assured us that they truly did want the house.  I don't even feel like eating- that says a lot.

So, yesterday we were carpet and appliance shopping for a June 15th move, and today we're back to square 1.  It's back on the market, back to showings, and back to waiting for a buyer.  Yuck.

limbo

We are under contract for the sale of our old house and for the purchase of a new(er) one!  After coming to a price agreement with the buyers, we started house hunting right away and found a house within a few days.  If everything works out, our new house will be west of 75, near Market Street in McKinney- sweet!

Now back to the "everything works out" part.  We are still holding off on hiring movers and making lots of plans since our buyers could still walk away from the contract.  They had our house inspected a week ago and have since been requesting repairs from us and estimates from different workers like electricians.  After Wednesday, their time is up to mull it over and we'll have to come to a definite agreement on who pays for what and what will get repaired before they move in.

Our fingers are crossed that we can come to an agreement both sides are happy with, because we really don't want to have to back out of our new house contract.  We love the floor plan of the house we've found and think it will be perfect for us over the next 5-10 years.  I'm so ready to get past this whole option period thing and feel a little more sure that we'll actually be moving in a few weeks!

In the meantime, Palmer keeps getting bigger, busier, and more opinionated.  He loves the people close to him, and HATES when they go away. . . even to the bathroom, or the front seat of the car.  This boy has tons of energy and loves to play outside, do anything his daddy is doing, bang on things, and get pulled around in his wagon.  Here are a few pictures from the end of April- I'm so far behind!!!

19 1/2 weeks

So, if you missed the news on Facebook you might not know we are having another little BOY in September!  It would have been fun to buy a bunch of girly clothes and frilly things, but it will be almost as fun (and much cheaper) to pull out all of Palmer's itty bitty newborn clothes for this little dude.  I went in for an earlier than planned sonogram because a stand-alone imaging center in Allen was more affordable on my insurance policy than the ultrasound tech who comes to the birthing center.  They just happened to have lots of openings and got me in super quick during my 18th week.  I'm excited for Palmer to have a brother so close in age to grow up with.  We're almost halfway there!

19 1/2 weeks (in the afternoon. . . that can make a difference you know :)
